Solares, vibrant and populous town in Cantabria, is home to 40 calle Calvo Sotelo of a little treasure, a grocer’s shop dating back to 1926 has been lovingly and successfully restored, maintaining the original structure. Nowadays it is a unique establishment serving freshly-prepared home-cooked portions and dishes with good raw materials. Fried delicacies, meats, cheeses, preserves, courgettes stuffed with prawns in cream of leeks and an interesting wine cellar. Beyond the bar, another surprise: a pleasant dining room with a mere four tables.
